MEET JAN

Jan is an aeronautical engineer who started in 2000 designing and implementing Safety Management Systems with airlines. Since 2010 he has instructed and consulted all over the globe in topics such as Safety & Risk Management, Safety Culture and Human Factor and Error Management. He has worked with all levels of organizations in aviation, maritime, mining, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors.

Jan is a passionate instructor who prefers a workshop style approach where participants are actively involved in discussing and developing their ideas. He is also a professional coach, recently working on the development of in-field safety coaching to develop risk competency of front-line supervisors and workers for a large mining client. Jan speaks 6 languages, which he uses at Safemap to coordinate international teams to execute consultancy and training projects in Europe and Latin America.
