MEET EWAN

Ewan, a mechanical engineer, joined Safemap in January 2016, and now has over 45 years of industry experience. He has developed a strong understanding of risk processes and systems, in particular, how humans can be the strongest link in the risk management process.

Prior to Safemap, Ewan was VP HSE within BHP Billiton, acquiring both mining and large project experience.   He enabled the development of a strong culture that significantly impacted the company, large EPCM contractors, and the larger community.

Prior to joining BHP, Ewan had a successful 32-year career with E.I. DuPont de Nemours combining operations, business and HSE experience with substantial international exposure.  He built a strong reputation as a caring leader who could improve safety performance and business performance simultaneously.
